What's the catch?

There is no catch! We collect a fee from apartment communities to connect you to them. We pay you $100 of that fee and help you find the best apartment for your budget, needs and preferences.

Why should I use K-Town Apartments?

Our mission is to provide a simpler and better way to find an apartment. We think we are accomplishing that.

Unlike other listing sites, we show you all the apartment communities in town so that you can make the best choice possible. We also allow you to search near a location, create a “needs” and “wants” filter, take notes and hide or save properties. K-Town Apartments does all this without requiring a login screen but still giving you a chance to save your work and reference it later.

Plus we have a pretty cute dinosaur.

Do I need an account to use K-Town?

Nope! You don't have to sign up through Facebook, Google, Twitter, Instagram, your Bank Account, or create a new username and password that you will inevitably forget. Instead, we let you save your search and notes on a device without any of that. How do we do it? It is magic. Really…magic. We told him we wouldn’t say anything, but a guy whose name rhymes with “blame” hooked us up.

So K-Town allows you to save your work, your custom notes and not worry about your email address and Facebook account being consumed by corporate spam. Just use the same device and visit us again to see your work.

How do I use K-Town Apartments?

Go to ktownapts.com. Then use our “Close to” search bar to enter an address or location you want to live near. Select the number of bedrooms and bathrooms that you are looking for. Enter any price limitations you want to filter through. Lastly, drag feature tiles to our “Must have” box that you require at your new apartment. Drag feature tiles to our “Would like” box that you want but could live without. Then click search. We show you a map and list view of your best matches.

From this screen you can hide or save properties and make notes as to why. You can also reference your search and notes later by just returning to the site with the same device. That’s right—no user name and no password—just visit us again on the same device to see your work.

What is the deal with the $100 Rewards?

This is legit. We give you $100 to USE and MENTION K-Town Apartments with select properties. Two things must happen for you to collect your reward. One, you MUST RENT from a premium apartment community on our site, so LOOK for the $100 reward tags in the search results and community pages. Secondly, you MUST MENTION K-Town Apartments as THE source for how you found the apartment when you sign a lease.

Do these two steps and your new community will submit your name to us with a simple online form that triggers a $100 reward sent to your door. It is that simple!

When will I get my $100 Reward?

First you have to mention us on the application and rent from an eligible property. Just look for the $100 reward tags on our site. For more about this see “What is the deal with the $100 Rewards?”

After you sign a lease, your new apartment staff will fill out a referral form on our website so that we know to send you a reward. We send $100 rewards to your new place shortly after you move in. We try to get it to you a couple weeks after you settle in, but some of the process isn’t under our control so we can’t promise a delivery date. If it has been more than a month since you moved in, feel free to Contact Us and let us know you are still waiting. You should also check with your apartment staff to see if they submitted your referral.

What do I do if I have trouble with my apartment community submitting my name for my $100 Reward?

$100 Rewards are ONLY offered when you rent from a K-Town Apartments premium community. This is shown on each community’s K-Town Apartments profile in the search results by displaying the $100 Reward icon. K-Town Apartments works hard to make this information accurate but cannot guarantee payment if an icon is mistakenly placed.

We do rely heavily on the honesty of our premium apartment communities with our $100 Rewards that we pay out to you, so we ask for and appreciate all reviews of your experience. If a premium apartment community refuses to follow our agreed process of activating Reward cards when you mention K-Town Apartments on the application, we can take action to help you receive your $100 Reward. Again, you must mention us on your application. We unfortunately can’t honor late or forgotten referrals.

What is the permanent search link?

The permanent search link on the desktop site is a unique URL where your current session is saved in case you want to send your work (notes and saved properties) to a roommate, friend, or family member. This unique URL will be deleted after roughly 30 days of inactivity.
